How can Christ say that His yoke is easy and His burden light when our life experiences seem so heavy? How are we to "throw off" the sin that so easily entangles, when, indeed, it does so easily entangle? And how are we to run with perseverance the race that is marked out for us when we do not even feel like we are at the right racetrack? |

The taboos of counseling and the suggestion that the Bible is irrelevant for today's society are the lies which leave suffering individuals lonely and hopeless. Since it is true that God has not changed, the hearts of men have not changed, and God's desire for optimal glory through the restoration and redemption of men has not changed, then the Bible is therefore altogether relevant. |

Truthful, Biblical counseling helps to firm up the foundational context of God's sovereignty and goodness. It helps to glean proper meaning from the sometimes violent love and mercy of our Holy God. It seeks to lead His beloved children to a freedom that is only found in genuinely knowing and trusting Him, and, as Christ expressed to those who were called, it is the role of the counselor to make you feel well known and very well loved. |
